CH3#6

Nick shares his thoughts and feelings with Jordan because he wants to know her more. He wants to get to know her as well as he tells his thoughts.

CH3#4

After Nick meets Gatsby he is surprised to see how down to earth he is. He is intrigued by his curious nature.

ch3#2

Nick describes Gatsby as sophisticated , tall and tan. He was intrigued by Gatsby whereas he did not drink at his own parties. He also thought Gatsby did not look he could kill a man.

CH3#1

I agree that Nick is a very critical person. i also agree that in the beginning he judged Gatsby harshly and his outlook on Gatsby changes as the book progresses.

Ch.2 #4

The violent act Tom does to Myrtle reveals a lot about him. Tom punched Myrtle in the face after her questioning his marriage. This reveals to me that Tom has no moral standards and acts on impulse. He is not a good man.

ch2#1

The valley of ashes is between West Egg and New York City. T.J Eckleburg watches over the valley. It is desolate and seems like a wasteland.

Ch.1 #4

The Buchannans live in an extravagant home in East Egg. The house is a Georgian mansion that is red and white. They too have a garden around the house and also have a walkway. The house is very wealthy looking.

Ch1#3

The narrator's house was in Long Island,New York in West Egg. His house is moderate compared to Gatsby mansion nearby. The house is made up of brick and surrounded by flowers.

Ch.1#2

The narrator comes from Minnesota. He moved tot he East to get in the bond business and get away from the west. He felt the East had a lot to offer him.

Ch.1 #1

The narrator describes Gatsby in chapter one. Gatsby represents everything Nick, the narrator scorns. The personality of Gatsby is "gorgeous." He has every desire of a man. Gatsby portrays a heroic figure in the book. I believe Gatsby will be a significant figure in telling the story.
